Contract Research
The scope of research in the field of biotechnology in general and molecular diagnostics in particular is immense. ONAN plans to leverage on its in-house scientific expertise and knowledge to carry out contract research for its clients in the areas of invitro diagnostics and plant & tissue culture. The company will constantly explore possibilities of alliances and partnerships in R&D which will produce positive synergies for both parties.

Cultivation of algal species
There are about 25,000 algal species present in the world, of which only 75 species are used as food. Some of them are used as fertilizer, bio-fertilizer and in medicine. Generally, they occur in aquatic habitat. Particularly Arthrospira Platensis contains most of the essential nutrients required for human consumption. It is nature’s richest and most complete source of total organic nutrition. It contains over 100 synergistic nutrients and comes from a microscopic freshwater plant. It is used widely around the world as a food supplement for maintaining health, energy and optimum weight. It is considered to be one of the world’s few “super foods”.
Considering the growing market for food supplements, ONAN plans to foray into the production and marketing of algal species that contains most of the essential nutrients required for human consumption.
